I'm a business owner, consultant and finance professional who now works with first home buyers to help them develop a clear plan and save to buy a home.
Why I created this course
Property is my passion and over the last 35 years I’ve built a portfolio in all types of property - residential, commercial, knock down rebuild, renovation, sub-division, bought off the plans. The portfolio sustains me and my Partner, Ryan and I’m continuing to grow it.

There is no doubt that in sought after areas, properties will be more expensive. However, with the location finder approach you can map out what are the services and facilities important to you and find a location that provides these, but at a lower price point.
Location is such an important aspect of buying a property - it can mean hundreds of thousands of dollars that you gain in growth. You need to have this knowledge to make a purchase that will build your wealth, not cost you money because of eg. structural issues with the property, very low growth rates.

This module walks you through the current Australian property market from a first home buyers perspective - so you can make savvy decisions.

Module 2: Who can I buy a property with?
Identify the options - who can you purchase a property with, as well as the pros and cons and the best legal structure.
Defining whether you're going to purchase by yourself or with someone else, this will feed into the property price bracket you will aim for.
Module 3: What can I buy?
This is where is gets real, get more specific about the type of property you'll pursue as well as the deposit requirements. It also steps you through where you can find properties that will provide the greatest increase in value over time - there's a simple rule.
Completing this module will help you estimate the deposit and price range you can aim for, as well as starting your research into a few different areas.
Module 4: Where can I buy?
This module steps you through how to become an expert in the area you'll purchase in. You'll have determined what are the key factors that will help you make a decision on a property. You'll have done some testing with the property growth calculator. There’s an additional Location Finder to help you narrow down your search.
After this module, you'll be clear about the tools you can use to search for properties, you will have started to test your theory on price and attended some open homes.
Module 5: When to buy?
This module will firm up a plan for when you can buy a home, using the research you've completed to date. It also steps through whether it's better to wait until you have a larger deposit or buy as soon as you meet the minimum requirements - the answer is surprising.
After completing this module you'll have a timeframe and savings target. You'll have learn some strategies about ideal timing to enter the market and even the next time you sell and then buy.
Module 6: How to fund your home purchase?
This is one of the most crucial modules and brings a lot of the research together. It includes better understanding loans, where to go to apply for a mortgage and what you can afford. It also provides an example of how to find out what government assistance is available to you. It outlines the risks to be aware of in purchasing and owning a home.
By the end of this module you'll understand the best avenue to apply for a mortgage, affordability and other support that may be available to you. You will be in a position to apply for mortgage pre-approval, or be working towards this.
Module 7: Buying a home
This is when you get out into the market and start actively looking and making offers! Based on your research you'll be able to see where you can add value to a property and the different types of purchases, as well as how to get the best out of Real Estate Agents.
After you've completed this module you'll be able to confidently pursue different properties, understanding how much you can spend and hone in on what you’re really looking for. It will help you with mind-set and negotiation tactics to make sure you get the best deal.
Module 8: After you purchase
By this point you'll have made an offer an had it accepted. You'll learn what to expect after you've signed on the dotted line. You'll use the Property Ownership calculator to understand the ongoing costs as well as how to best manage your mortgage.
